Before visiting Ben I always struggled trying new foods, I would become extremely anxious.
After only 3 fortnightly sessions with Ben I have been able to try a large range of different foods.

I wasn’t even sure if Ben would be able to help with my habit, it seemed like such an odd one. If I had wanted to give up smoking or biting my fingernails, that would have been “normal” right? My habit of biting and picking the skin on my hands and feet felt so shameful that I found it difficult even typing my first email to Ben.
When I met Ben. I found it easy to talk and be open with him. The trance part of the session was deeply relaxing, but I still didn’t understand how the session we’d just done could possibly help me break my habit.
Yet two days after that first session I realised that to a substantial level it had in fact already worked. I began to feel much calmer in everyday life, getting into my boat any time I felt stressed, and after a couple more session I was no longer doing the “finger thing” at all.
At this point I could easily have concluded my sessions, job done. But that wasn’t the only positive change.

I went to Ben for help with a fear of dogs which had got so bad I felt a shiver of fear go through me whenever I was near one. Ben was absolutely lovely and put me at ease straight away, making it easy for me to relax and get the most from our sessions. After only one session I could sense and feel my level of fear reducing and this was proven 2 weeks later at my 2nd session when my score rating came down dramatically. In those 2 weeks I’d also gone for a walk with someone and their dog, something I’d never done before. Since the 2nd session I have felt more at ease in situations with dogs. I am continuing to work on this with friends who are introducing me to their dogs, but this is something I would never have done without the help of Ben. I would highly recommend Ben and his approach as it definitely worked for me.

I’ve been seeing Ben for a few months and genuinely look forward to our sessions. I looked at a few Hypnotherapists profiles before I found Ben’s, but as soon as I read his I knew he was my therapist and gut instinct proved right. He has helped me become a better person that I sought out to be. He helps me to focus on the now and the future (the past is done), see the positives in things and widens my outlook on life. Ben Gaskell what can I say!! I started seeing Ben in November 2017 and visit him to this day regularly. He first started his treatment to help with my addiction and negative counter productive thought patterns. Over the years hes helped me learn and grow in every sense, his ability to make me look at things rationally and positively has help in my private and work life tremendously. I use his techniques and meditation videos and audios on a regular basis and it’s priceless. His professionalism is unprecedented and I’ve referred him many times, if he can helps others as much as he’s help me then I’ve done my bit by passing on such a gift!!

Ben is absolutely excellent at his job. I cannot thank him enough for how much going to therapy with him has helped me. He has allowed me to better understand myself, giving me tools and suggestions of things I can do outside of therapy. I believe he tailors each session to his clients, taking time to know and understand them. What I really like about seeing Ben is that he tells me the science behind some anxiety related things and this allows me to understand it better, and be kinder to myself. As well as being kind, patient and a good listener, he makes me laugh, and I imagine his other clients say similar things. I feel that if I met him in a different situation, he’d become my friend who gave excellent advice and had great music suggestions. In saying that, Ben is very professional, allowing clients to feel safe, and confident to talk. I always leave sessions with Ben with a clearer head. I cannot recommend him enough, and have mentioned him to others I feel would benefit.

I attended hypnotherapy sessions recently as I wanted to control a bad habit I had. At first I didn’t think that it would help me but after 4 seasons they helped me to relax and Ben the hypnotherapist taught me a couple of techniques to help me control my bad habit. It was worthwhile for me.

I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the sessions are very comforting, positive-thought provoking and extremely relaxing so over these 10 weeks I began to feel so much better. I came to Ben for hypnotherapy as I was suffering with stress, anxiety and low confidence after a relationship break up. My eczema had also flared up with the stress and I felt desperate. I didn’t know if it would work for me or what to expect but I was willing to try anything to feel better.
Ben straight away put me at ease with his warm and humorous manner. The sessions gave me the chance to focus on the positives in my life and enjoy some much needed relaxation and increase my confidence levels. A great knock on effect has been that my eczema has pretty much healed now that the emotional stress is better managed.
I really find listening to the audio support recordings to be very helpful as well, I still listen to them now a year on!
I can’t thank Ben enough for his help, I’m definitely a different person than I was a year ago and the hypnotherapy with Ben has played a big part in boosting my confidence to move my life forward. I definitely recommend Ben as a hypnotherapist.

I would thoroughly recommend this service. I’d never really considered hypnotherapy before and I’m glad to say all my pre-conceptions have been proved wrong.
