Stress and Anxiety

I’m here to listen. But there’s more to it than that – I’m also here to help you focus on where you want to be. Those things that you loved doing and want to start up again or even something you’d like to start doing for the first time.

If you don’t know anything about stress or anxiety – the NHS can give you some medical insight – here. Your doctor can also help give a diagnosis and rule out other factors. If you’d like to know more I’ve put a few links and a video that you might find useful below.

So… back to you. What do you want?

Close your eyes… not yet… read this bit first! I’d like to imagine yourself in 6 months, 1 year, 2 years… It doesn’t really matter when. All that matters is that this is a place where the effects of your stress and anxiety just don’t exist. Not a place where they are banned or outlawed. A place where a miracle has happened, and they have popped out of existence. Maybe you’re just waking up and feeling restored for the first time in forever or maybe you’re sat in the park listening to the sounds of nature drifting by. Have a look at your face – What can you see? – Content, confidence, pride at what you’ve achieved. What would you be doing differently?

I help you aim for these things, these… sparkling moments. So, what are you doing? Something that you enjoy but have let slip? Exercise? Walking? Seeing Friends? Enjoying your work?…

Once we can see where you want to be; we can start to figure out how to get there. I literally have no idea where that might be. And, it’s one of the best bits of my job. Hearing the things that make you happy and the solutions that you come up with to get there. The things I just couldn’t predict if I tried.

Next, we use a pinch of hypnosis to really focus on these new patterns you’re creating. You won’t think you’re a chicken or go back to that time you were a 15th Century Prince (or princess). You won’t divulge ‘what you did last summer’ or any other skeletons that you’re worried about – Unless you want to. That’s simply not what I’m here for.

So, what am I here for?

I’m here with my take on anxiety. Using a solution focused approach that is tried and tested so that when you look back, feeling stronger, at the end of our sessions, it won’t seem like ‘a miracle has happened’ because you’ll have a pretty good idea how and why it worked.* **
