Guide face to face sessions during the Covid-19 pandemic.
When not to come:
If you self-identify or have been informed that you are high risk or vulnerable sessions will remain online for the foreseeable future.
Don’t come to session if you’re displaying Covid-19 symptoms. If you have a cough, temperature or any of the symptoms currently outlined by the government guidance please cancel your session as soon as possible. You can find more information and guidance here – https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/
Coming to sessions:
Please wear a face mask – In order to limit the spread of coronavirus through droplets in the air I am now asking that clients wear a face mask to sessions. It’s preferable that you bring your own but I can provide a mask for a small fee (£1). I will also be wearing a mask or face shield throughout the session.
Entry and exit procedures – I will now open and close the door for you as you arrive to session. Please allow me some space to leave so that you can enter the room with enough space to make yourself comfortable whilst maintaining social distancing. I will not be shaking hands before or after sessions. Please don’t take this personally – I just don’t know where you have been 😉
Social distancing – Clients are asked to adhere to signage and to sit at the right hand side of the couch in order to maintain the correct social distancing.
Hand sanitizer – Paper towels and hand sanitizer will be available for those who would like it. I will ensure that I wash my hands between all clients.
Water – Please bring your own water if required as I will no longer provide this during session.
Ventilation – The practice room can become quite hot in the summer months and as fans are not recommended I will be keeping a window open at all times. I may even ask for your consent to open the doors. Of course this is completely your choice.
Cleaning – The practice room (door handles, chair arms and tables) will be cleaned between sessions. Throws and cushions will be stored for a minimum of three days or washed before being used by another client.
Your name and contact details may be given to NHS track and trace (test and trace) if requested. A QR code is available in the practice room for those who are using the NHS Covid-19 App.
Clients attend appointments alone unless they need help from their carer.
Toilet facilities not proved unless emergency.
Sessions will now be strictly 1 hour apart. This may mean less availability on busy days.
