Greater Manchester Hypnotherapy’s Resident Cat
Stevie can often be found sitting in on hypnotherapy sessions or protecting the front of the house. She’s lived with us for the past 4 years and has even made the trip from London.
According to Kerry Hudson at Mental Healthy – “The simple act of stroking a pet is well known to lower blood pressure, reducing physical as well as emotional stress. Watching fish is known to reduce stress (just think of all the tanks in waiting rooms!) Horse riding, or keeping a goat for example, has the added benefit of fresh air and exercise. Again each animal will require a different level of commitment. Unlike people, pets won’t judge you or your illness. You can even tell them your deepest darkest secret and they will merely expect a tickle for their time.”
Whilst Stevie might be a little skittish when it comes to strokes she’s incredibly nosey, loves the calming environment of the therapy room and has been known to take a nap during the alpha music I use during sessions. Of course she also loves being outside so if you would prefer that she was out getting some exercise during your session I am happy to oblige.
Unfortunately this means that if you are allergic to cats Greater Manchester Hypnotherapy may not be for you. However, I may still be able to put you in touch with another local Solution Focused Hypnotherapist or answer any questions that you may have. If that’s the case then you can contact me via firstname.lastname@example.org, call us on 07756 932 702 or through our contact page – HERE
